Andrea Perry MSN RN CNL CEN CPEN

Andrea Perry is a Registered Nurse working and living in Northern California. She started her career 17 years ago as a new grad in the Emergency Department and knew she was home, but also quickly found a passion for improving nursing practice. Her ability to connect to her audience has resulted in opportunities to present at conferences across the country, meeting nurses from all disciplines and learning as much as she teaches. From teaching first semester clinical in nursing programs to training RNs transitioning from inpatient units to the ED, Andrea has found multiple opportunities to help support nurses and advocate for the ED nursing profession. She has contributed several publications to professional journals and books on topics including trauma, nursing roles, stroke, and more. She spent several years as an ED Clinical Nurse Leader, responsible for new hire orientation, staff education, policy and procedure development, and process improvement.

Andrea has been teaching review courses with Solheim Enterprises since 2017. In addition, she teaches with an ED Transition in Practice program (teaching new grads and new to ED RNs the ED ropes), works per diem in a community ED, serves as an Expert Practice Consultant for the California Board of Registered Nursing, and is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association Clinical Practice Guidelines committee. In her spare time (she promises she has some) she loves to enjoy the great outdoors with her family.
