Greetings from Washington DC! I can't think of a more fitting place to be during the week that we celebrate the profession of nursing - National Nurses Week. I have visited Washington DC at least 25 times in my life and except for my first few visits, I don't believe I have ever missed the opportunity to visit the Vietnam Women's Memorial on the National Mall. If you have never added this to your list of places to visit when you are in DC, make sure to put it high on your list.Read More

As we approach 2018, I am feeling a bit tired, but after looking back on 2017, I can understand why. Would you believe that the instructors here at Solheim Enterprises taught 101 review courses in 38 of the 50 states (as well as Puerto Rico) during 2017? That equates to approximately 4500 students. In addition to that, about 700 more nurses took advantage of our online courses.
But we did not accomplish these impressive numbers in isolation. Our success rests in partnering with our hosts, who bring the vision of wanting to provide education to your staff and colleagues.Read More

Lots of exciting updates coming your way this year! We are so happy to rollout new and updated versions of several of our educational offerings.
As we announced earlier this year, we completed a full update and expansion of our wildly popular trauma seminar – Interactive Trauma: Beyond the Moment of Impact.
Additionally, this spring and summer Jeff and I worked diligently to update one of our hidden treasures; our lab interpretation course, Overcoming Analysis Paralysis. With all these updates, we are so pleased with the feedback we have already obtained from participants!Read More
As many of you know, I have the distinct privilege of serving at the President of the Emergency Nurses Association beginning January 1 of 2018. This is an honor given to only 47 emergency nurses who have preceded me as President. I approach this new task with great excitement as well as with a little anxiety for the challenge that is laid before me.
Many of you have asked me how this will affect both my ability to be able to continue presenting education throughout 2018 as well how it will affect Solheim Enterprises overall.
The answer to the first question is...Read More
Upon joining the team at Inova Fairfax ER, Kara Bauman’s Clinical Directors gave her three key objectives: prioritize Orientation, build a New Grad Residency, and increase the number of certified nurses within the department. I had the pleasure of speaking with Kara to discuss her relationship with Solheim Enterprises, the generosity of these foundations, the benefit of continued education for nurses, and her experience in providing educational opportunities to her staff.Read More
